Job Description:

The Technical Business Analyst will lead business and technical analysis activities to support data management, analytics, and cloud-based initiatives.
This role involves gathering and translating complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery in a large enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, analytics, cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake), and enterprise IT environments.

Responsibilities:

Lead or facilitate meetings and workshops with client departments, stakeholders, and project teams.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Managers to define and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring alignment between business and technical objectives.
Research and document user personas and journey maps to understand user needs and motivations.
Develop and present business cases, including ROI analysis, for proposed solutions.
Identify, gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
Create technical specifications for engineers, including non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as security and scalability.
Develop visual models such as Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs), BPMN process maps, and Data Models.
Maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) linking business goals, user stories, technical specs, and test cases.
Define and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and ensure successful delivery.
Conduct gap analyses and develop new or improved business and technical processes.
Prepare and deliver stakeholder presentations and documentation.
Support data governance and information management initiatives.
Manage requirements, scope changes, and project documentation to maintain alignment with organizational goals.

Requirement/Must Have:

University degree in business, management, or a related discipline and 5+ years of Technical Business Analyst experience; OR
Two-year diploma with 6+ years of BA experience; OR
One-year certificate with 7+ years of BA experience; OR
8+ years of BA experience overall.
5+ years of experience translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications in an enterprise IT environment.
4+ years of experience creating diagrams, process flows, and data models (DFDs, ERDs, BPMN, RACI, personas, journey maps, etc.).
5+ years of experience working with clients to analyze and explain complex data concepts.
4+ years of experience developing and implementing information and data management frameworks.
5+ years of experience gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and data process requirements.

Should Have / Nice to Have:

4+ years experience with cloud-based Data Management projects (Azure, Snowflake).
5+ years experience in data analytics, visualization, data science, and data management (ETL, ELT, data lineage).
4+ years understanding of APIs, JSON/XML, and cloud integration technologies.
5+ years experience in data transformation, cleansing, and wrangling.
5+ years experience in data security, privacy, anonymization, and compliance.
3+ years experience in Agile methodology.
5+ years experience in planning and executing UAT.
3+ years experience with BI/data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
3+ years experience with Azure DevOps Server.
2+ years experience managing concurrent multi-environment projects.
4+ years of technical expertise in SQL, Python or R, and data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).
5+ years experience leading Data/AI/ML/Cloud-related projects as a Technical BA.
2+ years experience in Data Governance.

Skills:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Proficiency with SQL, data modeling, and visualization tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
Strong knowledge of Agile, cloud technologies, and data governance frameworks.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree or higher in Business, Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
