Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer for Salesforce to design, implement, and optimize automated Salesforce solutions supporting program capabilities such as case management, eligibility determination, and citizen engagement. This role involves working closely with Solution Architects and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance Salesforce applications tailored to public sector needs.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Salesforce development and automation expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to translate architectural designs into effective business solutions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement Salesforce automation solutions to support case management, eligibility, and citizen engagement workflows
- Translate architecture blueprints into functional Salesforce applications under the guidance of the Solution Architect
- Configure and customize Salesforce using declarative tools such as Flows, OmniStudio, and Validation Rules
- Develop Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) when required to meet complex automation needs
- Optimize Salesforce solutions for performance, scalability, and security
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on automation best practices
- Support integration of Salesforce with external systems and business applications
- Ensure compliance with Salesforce development standards and public sector requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Level II: 7+ years of experience working on complex IT projects, including 2+ years in a leadership role as an Automation Engineer
- 7+ years of Salesforce development experience across multiple Salesforce products, including:
- Service Cloud
- Data Cloud
- CRM / Case Management solutions
- 3+ years of hands-on experience configuring and customizing Salesforce using:
- Declarative tools (Flows, OmniStudio, Validation Rules)
- Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) for automation and case management processes
Desirable / Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience integrating Salesforce with external applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, and middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft)
- 1+ year of experience with Salesforce data model and security model
- 6+ months of experience configuring Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
- 6+ months of experience configuring public sector case management solutions
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer (preferred)
