Job Details
Role: SAP Technical Lead/Architect
Experience: 8+ years in SAP ECC development and integration
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract To Hire (CTH after 4 months)
Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP development and integration activities, focusing on IDoc enhancements (e.g., ORDER05, DELFOR02, DELVRY07) and custom order types (e.g., ZE14, LZM, TAM).
- Design, develop, and enhance ABAP components, including Function Modules, BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, and custom reports/forms.
- Configure ALE and RFC destinations (SM59), partner profiles, and distribution models for SAP integrations.
- Collaborate with business and functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP technical solutions.
- Map SAP ECC tables (e.g., VBAK, VBAP, LIKP, VBBE) to IDoc segments, including support for custom fields and validations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot interface flows using SAP CPI/PI/PO and tools like WE02, WE05, WE19.
- Lead or participate in end-to-end SAP project delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Guide and mentor junior consultants; coordinate work with offshore/onshore delivery teams.
- Manage incident resolution, change requests, and performance tuning across SAP technical components.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and training materials.
- Ensure quality standards, project timelines, and SAP best practices are consistently followed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of SAP ECC technical experience with at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ABAP, IDoc enhancements, BAPI, RFCs, ALE, and data conversions (BDC, LSMW).
- Experience with SAP CPI or SAP PI/PO for monitoring and supporting integration scenarios.
- Functional understanding of SAP SD, MM, PP, FI modules and integration touchpoints.
- Proven leadership in managing SAP technical delivery teams and stakeholder coordination.
- Solid knowledge of SAP development tools (SE80, SE11, ST22, SM59, WE19, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience working in global delivery environments and cross-functional teams.
