Summary
CEIs longtime client is a national leader in Investment, Commercial, and Private banking. The are looking to add a Lead DevOps Engineer who will join a dynamic team supporting the migration to GitHub Enterprise as the standard source control and CI/CD platform. Lead and develop reusable workflows, enhance automation, and collaborate closely with product teams to improve developer experience and operational reliability.

Contract to hire position
70-75 / HR
Candidates must be local to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas, or Phoenix

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement reusable GitHub Actions workflows for CI/CD across teams
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitHub Actions and YAML-based workflows
Integrate security scans, secrets management, and artifact storage (e.g., JFrog) into CI/CD pipelines
Support developer teams with build/deploy troubleshooting and onboarding to GitHub Enterprise workflows
Provide guidance on migration from legacy tools to GitHub Enterprise and help standardize best practices across the platform
Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and platform teams to improve developer experience and operational reliability

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Actions (building reusable actions and workflows)
Strong CI/CD pipeline development experience and automation skills
Proficiency in YAML and scripting (Shell, Python, or Go) for pipeline automation and custom actions
Familiarity with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and basic DevSecOps practices (security scans, secrets management)
6+ years of relevant experience in similar roles

Preferred Skills

Basic Jenkins knowledge (helpful for understanding legacy CI and migrating jobs to GitHub Actions)
Experience in integrating artifact repositories (e.g., JFrog Artifactory) with CI/CD pipelines
