Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will validate the accuracy of Regulatory Capital and Liquidity calculations, perform detailed testing, and collaborate with various teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance. This role involves working in a hybrid environment in McLean or Richmond, with a chance of extension.
Responsibilities: - Validate the accuracy of Regulatory Capital and Liquidity calculations through the creation and execution of detailed test cases.
- Communicate project and testing status with program and business partners using tools such as Google Slides, Gmail, charts, tables, and roadmaps.
- Run queries and analytics on cloud-based data.
- Collaborate with Tech developers to validate changes and enhancements to data transformations.
- Perform user acceptance testing on developed solutions.
- Conduct variance analysis using tools such as Tableau, Excel, and Databricks.
- Maintain complete documentation of testing efforts.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
- 2 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience in analysis.
- Proficiency in querying and analyzing data with SQL and/or Python.
Preferred Qualifications: - Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
- Experience with Regulatory Capital and/or Liquidity reporting.
- Experience with business intelligence tools in a cloud computing environment.
Team and Project Description: The Capital Markets Automation and Data team within Capital Markets & Analytics is responsible for creating data solutions related to Regulatory Capital, Single Counterparty Credit Limits, and Liquidity. The team focuses on understanding regulations, managing data, and performing calculations used in daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting. Additionally, the team creates analytics that go beyond core regulatory needs to add business value.
The Discover merger creates a need to modify and validate data transformations related to upstream system migrations. The project focuses on ensuring existing Capital, Counterparty, and Liquidity calculations and reports continue to maintain a high level of accuracy and timeliness, incorporating newly merged data from upstream data sources.

Pay Range: $45 - $52/hour on W2
