Role Overview

We are seeking a Scheduling & Time Tracking SME to optimize and automate workforce scheduling processes within a large-scale security and patrol services operation supporting a major U.S. retailer. The SME will design scalable scheduling models, reduce workforce inefficiencies, and enable automation-driven accuracy in timekeeping, attendance tracking, and shift allocation. Key Responsibilities Assess current state scheduling, shift planning, time tracking, and attendance processes for hourly security personnel and retail operations. Build optimized scheduling frameworks ensuring coverage compliance, site requirements, labor laws, and operational constraints. Design and implement automated workflows for scheduling and time tracking using any of the tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Pega, Power Automate, Work Fusion, Camunda, Automation Edge, Aka Bot, and Stack Storm. Integrate scheduling systems with payroll, HCM, and field operations platforms. Create forecasting models for staffing needs based on incident data, foot traffic, retail operations demand, and guard post requirements. Ensure adherence to state labor laws, overtime rules, breaks, certification rules, and availability constraints. Lead change management, adoption, and training programs for scheduling and timekeeping systems. Maintain performance dashboards tracking overtime usage, shift adherence, absenteeism, and productivity metrics. Required Skills & Experience 6+ years experience in workforce scheduling, time tracking, or labor management, preferably in security, retail, or large distributed workforces. Expertise with platforms such as UKG Dimensions, ADP Time, Kronos, Workday Time Tracking, When I Work, or similar. Experience applying automation to scheduling and timekeeping workflows using any of the tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Pega, MS Power Automate, Work Fusion, Camunda, Automation Edge, Aka Bot, Stack Storm. Strong analytical skills and experience with forecasting, labor optimization, and shift modeling. Excellent stakeholder communication skills with the ability to work across operations, HR, payroll, and IT teams.
