Imaging Architect - Contract - Coral Gables, FL - $100.00 - $110.00/hr.

Our client is seeking an Imaging Architect in Coral Gables, FL.

Role Description

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and consultative Imaging Architect to join our healthcare technology team. This is a brand-new role created to support a growing portfolio of over 85 projects, including a major migration initiative and a strategic move toward enterprise imaging with Sectra. The ideal candidate will bring a breadth of experience across industries, deep technical expertise, and a strong understanding of the imaging ecosystem in acute care hospital environments.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, enterprise environments and is passionate about designing scalable, secure, and efficient imaging systems that support clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

Design and architect imaging systems across the enterprise, including PACS, RIS, cardiovascular, and radiology platforms
Lead system design efforts for new projects, including documentation, presentation, and justification of architectural decisions
Collaborate with infrastructure architects, imaging managers, and clinical stakeholders to ensure alignment with business and clinical goals
Evaluate and integrate imaging AI solutions, image exchange platforms, and dictation systems
Support migration projects, including Active Directory domain transitions and EHR integrations
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy, and security standards
Provide technical leadership and guidance across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
Monitor system performance and implement observability and automation strategies
Serve as a consultative partner to understand imaging workflows and their business value
Participate in vendor evaluations and contribute to enterprise imaging strategy

Skills & Requirements

10+ years of experience in enterprise system architecture, with a strong breadth of experience across industries (e.g., consulting, bio-pharma, healthcare) Deep technical knowledge of PACS, VNAs (e.g., Sectra, Fuji, Hyland), and imaging modalities (CT, MR, XRAY, Ultrasound)
Strong understanding of radiology workflows, dictation systems (e.g., PowerScribe), and image exchange platforms (e.g., PowerShare)
Proven experience designing and migrating Active Directory environments and integrating with EHR platforms (e.g., Epic Radiant, Syngo Workflow)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure performance optimization
Familiarity with imaging AI tools and ability to evaluate and collaborate with clinical stakeholders
Strong troubleshooting, observability, and automation skills across infrastructure and application layers
Excellent communication and presentation skills with a consultative, curious mindset
Experience in consulting environments (e.g., PwC) or across multiple industries
Demonstrated ability to commit to long-term projects and see designs through to implementation
Prior experience in acute care hospital settings is highly preferred
Broad and deep experience in system architecture
Strong technical foundation: infrastructure, software engineering, system design
Medical Imaging expertise: PACS, VNAs (Fuji, Hyland), Sectra, Visage, Intellispace
Modalities: CT, MR, XRAY, Ultrasound, Power Injector
Imaging workflow knowledge: prioritization, radiology processes
Dictation systems: PowerScribe
Image exchange platforms: PowerShare, Ambra (AKA Intelishare)
Imaging AI: AIDoc, Viz.ai, ability to evaluate and partner with physicians
Security and compliance: HIPAA, data exchange, privacy
Cloud experience: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform
Active Directory design and migration experience
Interface engine experience: OPENLink
Strong troubleshooting and observability skills
Familiarity with code development, automation, monitoring
Experience with EHR platforms: Epic Radiant, Syngo Workflow, RIS platforms
Ability to design systems and present architectural decisions
Experience across industries (e.g., consulting, bio-pharma) preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to commit and support and operations, can not be strictly Project Focused.
