Role Description
The IT Procurement & Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end hardware inventory and warehouse operations for a global Managed Service Provider. This role ensures all hardware is accurately received, processed, inventoried, configured, and shipped in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in procurement and inventory management, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Oversee daily operations of the hardware inventory and warehouse team, including receiving, storage, configuration, and shipping of hardware.
Manage procurement activities, including vendor relationships, purchase orders, and timely acquisition of hardware.
Maintain accurate inventory records and implement strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce errors, and minimize waste.
Ensure hardware setup and configuration are completed accurately and efficiently prior to deployment or shipment.
Monitor shipping and logistics processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer and operational requirements.
Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, inventory management, shipping, and hardware configuration.
Collaborate with Field Services, Client Services, and cross-functional teams to align inventory planning with operational needs.
Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote high performance, accountability, and engagement.
Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and recommend continuous process improvements.
Enforce safety, security, and organizational standards within the warehouse environment.
Skills & Requirements
3+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or procurement, preferably within an IT or technology-focused environment.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with inventory management systems; ERP system experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and locations.
High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
