Job Overview

Costco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Technical Architect with deep expertise in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Salesforce Experience Cloud. This role will lead the design and delivery of complex, scalable Salesforce solutions, with a strong focus on CLM implementations and integrations using platforms such as Conga and DocuSign.

The ideal candidate will act as the technical authority across Salesforce initiatives, translating complex legal and business contracting requirements into secure, high-performing, and scalable technical solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions tailored to Costco’s business needs, with a strong focus on CLM platforms.
  • Serve as the technical lead for Salesforce projects, providing architectural direction, best practices, and governance.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, legal teams, and product owners to gather requirements and translate them into detailed technical designs.
  • Configure and customize CLM solutions (DocuSign CLM, Conga CLM), including:
    • Data models
    • Workflows
    • Approval rules
    • Version-controlled document generation
  • Design and implement complex contract redlining and negotiation processes, including:
    • Word-based and online collaboration
    • Tracked changes and clause swaps
    • Conditional fallback (tailback) language
    • Counter-party negotiation portals
  • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party tools such as Conga, DocuSign, and other enterprise systems.
  • Ensure robust Salesforce security architecture, including:
    • Object- and field-level security
    • Sharing rules
    • Shield encryption
    • Comprehensive audit trails for contract edits, comments, and negotiations
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability across Salesforce environments.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to development teams.
  • Conduct code reviews, technical assessments, and support QA and deployment processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of overall Salesforce experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce Technical Architecture.
  • Extensive experience with CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) solutions within Salesforce.
  • Proven expertise integrating Conga CLM and DocuSign CLM with Salesforce.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce development and customization tools:
    • Apex
    • Lightning (LWC/Aura)
    • Visualforce
    • Salesforce DX
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce data models, security models, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
  • Salesforce Application Architect
  • Other relevant Salesforce certifications are a plus
