IT Technical Analyst
The IT Technical Analyst is a hands-on technical expert responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and advancing the company's technology infrastructure and systems. This role combines deep technical proficiency in SQL, networking, systems administration, and cloud technologies with the ability to lead projects, implement solutions, and provide technical guidance across departments.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, is highly self-directed, and ensures reliable, secure, and efficient technology performance across multiple shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The IT Technical Analyst will:
- Design, implement, and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, databases, networks, and security protocols.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in SQL, responsible for advanced query development, stored procedures, data modeling, and performance tuning to support reporting and business intelligence needs.
- Manage and support Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and hybrid/cloud environments (Azure experience strongly preferred).
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and IP-based phone systems.
- Support system integrations and manufacturing technologies, including ERP, MES, barcode and labeling systems, and automation tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Production, Finance, etc.) to identify, design, and implement technology-driven process improvements.
- Provide direct technical support for servers, applications, networks, and production-floor equipment (including barcode printers and handheld devices); occasional lifting up to 35 lbs may be required.
- Manage IT documentation, system configurations, and version control across environments.
- Partner with vendors to resolve escalated issues, evaluate new technologies, and ensure service reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI tools and automation solutions, evaluating opportunities to enhance business performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive IT experience in systems, infrastructure, and database management.
- Advanced SQL expertise required - including development, optimization, reporting, and data integration.
- Strong experience with Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure Cloud.
- Proficient in networking concepts and tools (LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, firewalls, routing/switching, wireless).
- Provide after-hours and weekend support on a rotational basis to ensure system uptime and business continuity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex IT projects independently, with minimal supervision.
- Experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Experience with AI technologies or automation tools is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Systems programming and application development is a plus
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
