Principal Cloud Security Architect Google Cloud Platform - Contract - Greenwood Village, CO - $90.00 - $104.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Principal Cloud Security Architect Google Cloud Platform in Greenwood Village, CO
Role Description
This role is focused on cloud security across Apple Services Engineering, with specific responsibilities including:
Definition of vision and strategic plans
Design and evaluation of software and infrastructure architectures
Research on industry landscape and technology developments
Authoring technical reports and presentations
Partnering with leaders and engineers to influence and define execution plans
Presenting to audiences at varying levels of the organization
Ownership of multi-functional and cross-organizational programs as the "directly responsible individual"
Creating prototypes and/or proof of concepts to demonstrate that a proposed solution would work - Mentorship of junior engineers and technical leaders
Fostering a collaborative culture of excellence both within the security team and across Apple Education & Experience Education & Experience BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent proven experience
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
AWS Security Specialty Certification
To be successful, you must have deep technical expertise in cloud development, cloud infrastructure and services, and secure operations in the cloud, coupled with a broad understanding of the security and information technology landscape. You must be able to influence without authority, innovate to tackle tough problems, and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization.
Significant technical depth in cloud security:
Deep understanding of the security models of cloud providers and cloud native operations
Hands-on experience in building and deploying software in at least one of the major public
cloud providers experience with Google Cloud Platform 2+ yrs minimum
Hands-on experience in the adoption of cloud technologies at enterprise scale
Familiarity with open source cloud technologies, such as Kubernetes
Familiarity with modern "cloud native"/DevOps practices
Fluency in at least one programming language, preferably multiple
A broad base of technical knowledge spanning many of the fields of information technology:
Ideally from a position of little or no direct authority
Ideally in efforts that span teams or organizations
Communicate clearly and effectively
You must have excellent writing skills
You must be able to target your communications to the audience, whether technical or not, whether an executive or a front-line individual
