SUMMARY

Zappos is looking for a Front-End Engineer to drive improvements that impact our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as well as supporting the broader Tech organization to improve our experience for customers. In your day-to-day, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and UX designers to improve elements across our store. You will work on Homepage, Search, Product Pages, and more.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Make Zappos easier to find from search engines, while improving product discovery for customers once they land on the Zappos website.
• Support critical applications that millions of customers use.
• Collaborate with our broader Architecture team to improve page speed, URLs, internal linking, and creating novel experiences.
• Set up dashboards to continuously monitor and test.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation, and support of software applications across multiple platforms.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development/Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least three (3) years of front-end development experience on large scale production applications.
• Expert proficiency in front-end programming technologies, such as JavaScript, React, NextJS, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid understanding of general SEO principles and SEO best practices.
• Solid understanding of structuring product and content data for maximum SEO value.
• Experience with Data Architecture and Querying Languages (Relational Databases, Document Stores, SQL, etc.).
• Experience in AWS technologies.
• Great communication and presentation skills.

WHAT REALLY WOWS US

• Experience in backend programming languages (Python, Java).
• SEO / Google Analytics certification.
• Experience with Big Data technologies, e.g.

This role is open to candidates physically located in the following metropolitan statistical areas: Austin, TX; Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; and Seattle, WA. Candidates who are not physically located in one of these areas may not be considered for this role.

The base pay range for this position is $153,000-174,000 per year ; however,

base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, a full range of medical and other benefits is offered.
