Job Description: Telecom Implementation Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Telecom Implementation engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for removing Network Elements from existing rings or specified cards from Network Elements as per the Planning, Engineering, and Design specifications. This role includes handling cases that require Circuit validation, Grooms, and providing support to the field team and other stakeholders to ensure the successful decommissioning of Network Elements or Cards.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom network infrastructure, with expertise in DWDM, SDH/SONET, OTN technologies across multi-vendor platforms like Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia, Fujitsu, Ciena, CiscoCerent, Hitachi, Nortel, Tellabs, ADVA, Infinera, Huawei, etc.
Verify the traffic, validate the circuits riding on the Card/Node. Complete the pre-check and documentation.
Handle cases requiring grooms to ensure seamless network operations.
Remove Network Elements from existing rings or specified cards from Network Elements according to Planning, Engineering, and Design specifications.
Provide support to the field team and other stakeholders during the decommissioning process.
Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure accurate execution of decommissioning tasks.
Maintain detailed documentation of decommissioning activities and outcomes.
Day-to-day interaction with field technicians and peers, to engage their technical as well as non-technical resources to perform tasks.
Knowledge of telecom concepts such as Data, Voice, and VoIP.
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
Coordination with Field techs for resolving fiber service issues.

Fully seasoned with typically 4+ years of professional experience with a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to work in shifts and on weekends.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with field teams and stakeholders.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in relevant telecom software and tools.
