+ OverseeeingUX/UI designs to ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices
+ Translating research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes and collaborating on the future product roadmap
+ Employing user testing and outreach to ensure products meets the needs of the end users, in collaboration with partners
+ Partnering with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, on design solutions and rationales; collaborating with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI or a related field - Required - 8 Years
- Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices - Required - 8 Years
- Experience conducting user and usability research - Required - 8 Years
- Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills - Required - 5 Years
- Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills - Required - 4 Years
- Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts - Required - 4 Years
- Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software - Required - 4 Years
- Experience ensuring designs and websites conform to federal accessibility guidelines - Required - 3 Years
- A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism - Required - 1 Years
- Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira" -Preferred - 3Years
- Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency -Preferred - 2Years
