Worldwide Technology is looking for a Solution Architect. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. Title: "Solution Architect"
Location: Hybrid - New Orleans, LA
Duration/Type of Job: 6 months CTH
Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $60 to $80 hourly (Rate range is on C2C basis). Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Key Responsibilities:
This position focuses on Middleware Application Management and is responsible for supporting leadership, providing project and operational support for a defined set of applications in the Middleware area supporting all Business Units. The primary focus of this role will be to support Projects and Operations in The Customer s Tibco environments & Tibco products TIBCO EMS, Business Works, Business Works CE, Business Events, Mashery, Tibco ActiveSpaces, Container environments, and Tibco applications. This role is responsible for ensuring this set of applications meets stated SLAs with an emphasis on continuous process improvements. This role will work closely with support teams, external vendors, and the relevant project teams to manage all issues related to the applications in the environment. This role will act as the liaison between the application end users, business users, project team, support team, and IT SDM.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support SDM in providing customer-centric IT; reliable, predictable, cost-effective, and secure service to the customers.
- Oversight of Operations support and vendor support in the implementation of new releases, upgrades, patches, or enhancements. Provide leadership to the support teams (The Customer & Partner) and prioritize the work for the team.
- Execute the Release & Deployment Management processes. Coordinate with Program Managers and Project Managers in the implementation of projects to ensure seamless transition into the production environment. Plan and execute Service Introduction and knowledge transfer from project teams to Operations team.
- Ensure compliance with all project deployment methodologies, internal standards (e.g., Security, Enterprise Architecture (EA)), operational guidelines & best practices in support of IT s strategy and organizational objectives, and in compliance with The Customer s policies and procedures.
- Requires a solid understanding of Middleware technologies (Tibco, Tibco MFT, EMS, BW, BWCE, BE, Tibco Mashery/API management). Together with support from The Customer s SDM & Enterprise Architects, responsible for creating a fully integrated, effective integration solution.
- An active thought partner, with the EA and Service Delivery Managers to help shape the technology demand among the business unit.
- Assist in the creation of design guidelines for software and hardware integration, performance, reliability, operational, and security designs.
- Create the integration points of new business solutions with legacy systems to satisfy client s requirements.
- Work with BA, PM, and QA teams to review test strategies and requirements traceability.
- Ensure business and functional requirements are maintained throughout the project SDLC process.
Minimum Requirements:
- Solution Architect Level: 4+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture, data engineering, software engineering, or data science roles.
- Sr Solution Architect Level: 8+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture including meeting all Solution Architect skills.
- Advanced degree is a plus.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:
- Knowledge and experience with Tibco suite of products (EMS, APIX, Mashery, MFT, BW, BWCE, ActiveSpaces, BE).
- Experience managing application support and maintenance functions in an organization or outsourced environment.
- Ability to leverage and mentor others through technical team leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-centric approach and strong data analytical ability.
- Preference for candidates who can drive technical solutions and have experience with Containers, AWS, Servers, Storage, and Linux.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position:
- Technology certifications are a plus
This role may require on-location work with WWT customers. Some customers may require WWT employees and contractors coming on-site to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or to receive frequent negative COVID-19 testing.
