Overview:
Mako's direct client is seeking a Solution / Business Architect with deep expertise in the Oracle Energy and Water suite. This role will serve as a bridge between business needs and Oracle Cloud ERP capabilities, with a focus on problem-solving, architecture, and configuration across integrated Oracle modules in a utility environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
Serve as a business/solution architect, translating operational needs into Oracle ERP configurations.

Analyze current system pain points and lead reconfiguration efforts without customizations.

Act as a subject matter expert on the Oracle Energy and Water suite's capabilities ("art of the possible" guidance).

Understand and assess cross-module impacts (e.g., PPM, AP, GL, Contracts).

Participate in CAB meetings, change control, and deployment governance processes.

Collaborate with system integrators (Accenture, PwC, Deloitte) on validation and implementation.

Stay current on quarterly Oracle Cloud updates and lead adoption of relevant features.

Use SQL for data pulls and business problem analysis.

15+ years of Oracle ERP experience, including recent hands-on Fusion Cloud (SaaS).

Direct hands-on expertise with multiple Oracle Energy and Water products:

Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CCB / CCS)

Oracle Field Service (OFS)

Oracle Work and Asset Management (WAM / WAX)

Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM)

Deep experience with utility companies and their operational challenges.

Strong configuration-first philosophy (no customizations).

Experience in a fully cloud-based Oracle environment.

Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and 3rd-party systems like Power Plan or Maximo.

Proven collaboration with major SIs (e.g., Accenture) in large-scale programs.

Excellent problem-solving and solution validation mindset.
