Dice is currently partnering with a government end client to assist in filling a Business Analyst position on a 12+ month contract basis. This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule and will be based in Long Island, NY (must be willing and able to work onsite at least three (3) days per week).

Summary:
As part of OPT operations, the Planning and Innovation (P&I) team is responsible for providing guidance and standards in the execution of projects. P&I creates tangible goals, aligned with the overall organizaton's vision, and ensures all targets are met. Guidance comes in the forms of project templates, standardized processes, standardized methodology, requirements for product development and enhancements. Currently, P&I is engaged in a pathbreaking modernization initiative. Dice customer is focused on a Modernization Project which will solve problems for internal and external stakeholders. This is an extensive business process to reengineer an initiative involving change in business processes, use of new products, and replacing old applications.
We are looking to supplement the existing team with two (2) Business Analysts to help keep these time sensitive initiatives on track. We hope that these resources will be able to work in tandem with the existing team to leverage their deep business knowledge and expand our current operations and scope.
High Level Effort Goals: Manage, monitor, track, milestones, collect, maintain and revise requirements, test, train and release projects. Business Analysts: Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard sysems processes through evaluation of gaps in current processes.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with stakeholders across business units (to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams
- Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties
- Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
- Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems
- Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendatio
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree or a Master s degree in business, management, information technology or a related field from an accredited college or related field.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio and/or Lucidchart
- High proficiency in documentation and communication with stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work as a team member
- Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
