Position: PowerBuilder Developer

Duration: 12 Months

Location: North Dakota (Remote)

Position Description:

The State of North Dakota Information Technology Department is seeking a part-time Application Developer to support existing PowerBuilder applications following the departure of a key team member. The selected contractor will provide expert-level support and maintenance on an as-needed basis.

Required Skills and Experience:

Primary Skill Set:

2 5 years of hands-on development experience with PowerBuilder
Strong proficiency in software design, development, and testing
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Effective time management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Technical Environment:

Development Tools:

PowerBuilder
GIT

Databases:

Oracle
SQL Server
DB2 (preferred)
Adabas/ConnX

Database Skills:

SQL
Stored Procedures

Collaboration Requirements:

Coordinate closely with IT management, team members, and agency personnel to ensure continuity and quality of application support.
Equipment and software provided by the state's IT Division
