Director of Contact Center AI - Contract - Remote - $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Director of Contact Center AI in Remote.
Responsibilities:
Define and drive the AI transformation roadmap for GreenSky's contact center
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Digital Delivery, Engineering, and external partners (e.g., EPAM)
Translate business goals into scalable AI solutions that improve customer experience and operational efficiency
AI Development & Integration
Architect and deploy conversational AI using AWS Lex, Genesys Cloud, and AWS Lambda
Oversee bot development for tasks like payments, balance inquiries, and loan servicing
Ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems and optimize performance and model accuracy
Technical Execution
Lead development efforts using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
Manage infrastructure-as-code deployments via AWS CDK
Deliver a production-ready MVP within 60-90 days and guide ongoing enhancements
Team Leadership & Enablement
Mentor internal developers and elevate AI capabilities across the organization
Establish best practices for conversational design, IVR architecture, and AI lifecycle management
Skills & Requirements
AWS Lex (Conversational AI)
AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code - TypeScript / Node.js)
AWS Lambda (Serverless functions)
Python (Scripting and API integration)
Genesys Cloud (Contact center platform integration)
Strong understanding of conversational AI design, IVR architecture, and AI deployment pipelines
Experience with Amazon Connect or Zendesk integrations
Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms
Ability to lead and mentor technical teams
