Job Details

Title: Service Now Developer

Location: Washington DC (Onsite)

Duration: 6 -12 months


Key Skills - PPM, SPM, ITFM
We are seeking a skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and implement solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules, scripting, and system configuration, as well as a strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, Glide, and ServiceNow Studio.
Configure and customize core ServiceNow modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, and Knowledge Management.
Develop and maintain business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, flows, and integrations.
Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure smooth implementation.
Build and support REST and SOAP API integrations with third-party systems.
Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles and contribute to continuous delivery pipelines.
Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow issues in production and development environments.
Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and platform governance policies.
Provide documentation and training to internal teams and end-users as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
12+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
Strong experience with JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow Scripting.
Hands-on experience with ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Catalog, or HRSD modules.
Experience creating and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and web services integrations.
Familiarity with LDAP, SSO, SAML, and other authentication methods.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and version control tools like Git.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) strongly preferred.
ServiceNow Developer or Implementation Specialist certification is a plus.
Experience with Scoped Applications, Service Portal, or Mobile App Development.
Background in ITIL or ITSM frameworks is an advantage.
