seeking a data-focused Product Owner to support the build-out of a new Databricks-based data platform. This platform will aggregate and normalize various financial data sources before distributing them to upstream systems.
The team is currently managing a large migration effort from legacy environments and needs someone who can bridge the gap between mainframe-based data sources and the modern, API-driven patterns they?re adopting. Experience within the financial domain is important to ensure the candidate can ramp up quickly and provide immediate value.
Skills:
? Agile Leadership - Candidate must have 10 yrs+ of in-depth experience leading Agile Product Teams (SCRUM, Kanban framework experience is a MUST) guiding teams and helping them understand requirements and expectations.
? Strategic Vision and Product Management - Candidate must have 10 yrs+ of hands-on execution and delivery experience driving value to further our product vision with a priority on high-impact, high-value business objectives. Experienced in translating strategic initiatives into actionable features and user stories, driving customer value, and aligning teams around business outcomes.
? Decision-Making -Candidate must possess the ability to negotiate and make timely and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment without compromising work that is crucial for the product's success, both in small daily choices and pivotal decisions.
? Customer/Stakeholder Management- Candidate must possess strong soft skills to build relationships and manage expectations with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership/executives. A successful candidate is known for building trusted partnerships, fostering continuous improvement, and balancing short-term delivery with long-term product vision.
? Communication Skills-Candidate can clearly and effectively communicate with stakeholders, developers and the delivery team, ensuring alignment and understanding of the product roadmap is well understood and incremental sprint goals will meet business objectives/outcomes.
? Analytical Skills-Candidate must have in-depth experience thinking critically and applying logical reasoning as needed to help stakeholders and developers make informed decisions.
Experience:
1. Wealth Management and Financial Data product ? have experience with end-to-end mgmt of financial products & svcs
2. Solid API Product Owner experience guiding the development and lifecycle of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
o Knowledge of open-source API standards or specific design requirements such as RESTful apps and SOAP
