UXUI Designer - Contract - Plantation, FL - $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking an UXUI Designer in Plantation, FL.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own product design end-to-end: user research, journey mapping, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, UI design, and design QA.
Work closely with Software Development: run design reviews, write clear specs, manage dev handoffs, and support implementation through launch.
Partner with stakeholders: turn business goals and constraints into intuitive flows and interfaces; facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions.
Build & evolve our design system: components, patterns, design tokens, accessibility standards, and usage guidelines.
Accessibility by default: design and validate to WCAG 2.2 AA; lead contrast, keyboard, and screen-reader checks.
Measure & iterate: define success metrics, set up experiments, analyze UX telemetry, and ship improvements.
Job Description
UX/UI Designer will partner closely with our software development team and collaborate with stakeholders across PR, Marketing, Product, E-commerce, Customer Support, Operations, and Legal. You'll own end-to-end design for our websites and internally developed applications - from discovery and research to polished visual design, handoff, and post-launch optimization.
Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience designing websites and product UIs end-to-end
Must possess strong portfolio with 2-3 case studies showing problem/processes/outcome
Must possess strong experience with design & prototyping: Figma (Auto-layout, variants, variables), FigJam, Sketch+, Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop), After Effects+, Protopie+/Framer+
Must possess strong experience with Design Systems: Figma libraries, tokens, Storybook+
Must possess strong experience with collaboration & delivery tools, such as Jira/Confluence, Google Workspace
Experience with Frontend & Handoff: Figma Inspect, Git/GitHub basics+, React component libraries (e.g., MUI, Radix)+
Experience with Research & Testing: UserTesting+, Maze+, Hotjar/FullStory/Clarity, GA4, Optimizely/VWO+, Looker/Data Studio+
Must possess strong experience collaborating with developers, product managers, marketing and cross functional teams to deliver on time
Excellent organizational and communication skills with a builder's mindset and portfolio that demonstrates real-world impact
Experience in consumer, retail, or B2B2C environments

5+ years of professional experience designing websites and product UIs end-to-end, with a strong portfolio of shipped work.
Proven track record collaborating with software developers and engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver on time.
Strong command of interaction design, visual hierarchy, typography, and design systems.
Demonstrated experience running user research (interviews, usability tests, surveys, concept/AB tests) and turning insights into decisions.
Solid understanding of front-end fundamentals (HTML/CSS, responsive layouts; basic JavaScript/React literacy a plus) to communicate effectively with engineers.
Working knowledge of analytics and experimentation to inform iterations.
Familiarity with privacy, security, and compliance considerations that affect UX (consent, cookies, error states).
Excellent communication: can present work, explain trade-offs, and document decisions clearly.
Content & microcopy: craft clear UI text and collaborate with brand/copy partners for consistency.
Multi-surface design: responsive web, mobile web, and (as needed) native app patterns.
Quality bar: conduct design QA, file grooming, and maintain impeccable component hygiene.
