Job Description

Sierra-Cedar is a leading Oracle Systems Integrator in the marketplace with world class consulting services, managed services and technical services deployed across various commercial, higher education and public sector industries. Sierra-Cedar is seeking a bright and motivated Oracle HCM Cloud Technical/Functional Application Support expert to support its growing Oracle Cloud support clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day to day production application support and troubleshooting for multiple clients
  • Work closely with client end users on data issues and provide guidance/training as needed
  • Support configuration, development, testing, and deployment of new Oracle Cloud functions and features
  • Identify business requirements and map them to the HCM Cloud functionality
  • Translate business/functional requirements into technical specification documentation for new development, reporting and integration requests
  • Document and maintain system configuration changes including business processes
  • Provide guidance and coordination on Quarterly Release Updates
  • Assist with user acceptance testing for application enhancements and Quarterly Release Updates
  • Support clients with the execution of test scripts
  • Validate configuration and data and work with the clients to clean up data issues as needed
  • Lead migration of configuration, integrations and extensions to Production
  • Provide work effort coordination with remote consulting and offshore resources utilizing regularly scheduled conference calls, web sessions, and meetings as required
  • Seek innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions that exceed the client’s expectations

rEQUIRED sKILLS

  • Minimum of 5 years with hands-on ERP Technology Support and 1-2 years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience
  • Oracle HCM Cloud experience with primary expertise in Payroll, Time & Labor and Benefits
  • Experience in working with Oracle Quarterly Release Updates
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical abilities to independently resolve a variety of routine and complex issues
  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with the client as well as Sierra-Cedar team members and management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with end users, developers and technical staff
  • Ability to recognize matters of urgency and knowing when to escalate effort

PREFERRED SKILLS/OTHER

  • Oracle HCM Certification is preferred
  • Background in basic project management is helpful
  • Experience working with offshore support model preferred
  • This position may require some after hours or weekend on-call support as needed

TRAVEL

This is a remote position supporting multiple clients and may require travel as needed (approximately 1 week each quarter).
