Title: Technical Product Manager

This is a full-time position that includes responsibilities of a Technical Product Manager.  The right person for this position will have high energy, a positive attitude, and a high attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to success.   

Position Description:

Management platform is looking for Product Manager that embrace lean, agile and design thinking practices. Product Managers will work on small, cross-functional, and co-located teams. The Product Manager will collaborate directly and continuously with software engineers and designers, responsible for ensuring the team releases early and often.

Skills Required:

  • Work closely with Business Partners to understand their product vision, and break it down into an actionable backlog for the development team
  • Work hands-on with the development team to prioritize, plan, and deliver software that meets user requirements - Advocate for an iterative development approach, working closely with designers to measure success of the solution and inform product improvement
  • Focus on delivering value to our customers through careful and deliberate prioritization of desired outcomes
  • Collaborate with global business partners to drive requirements
  • Ensure a consistent UI/UX advocating for the end user/customer
  • Close collaboration with business owners, architects and product managers across multiple organizations and product teams in the Connected Vehicle domain.
  • Understand user needs, uncover possibilities, and test assumptions with support of the broader product team. Facilitate events such as Integration testing, workshops.
  • Advocate for and implement design best-practices for the product at large. Rapidly iterate design prototypes for APIs.
  • The team also focuses on reporting, dashboards, metrics, and data needs of the License Management Platform
  • Help innovate and iterate on agile PM processes always working to find ways to improve skills
  • Identify success stories and share with the broader product team

Skills Preferred:

  • Previous success working with an Agile development team
  • Background in software development - Understanding of Connected Vehicle business processes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others
  • Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and business partners - Experience with Lean/Agile methodology
  • Experience as a designer or engineer a plus - Knowledge of software engineering practices such as test-driven development, clean coding, continuous integration, etc.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Architects to develop visual aids and materials for business partners and developers, including user flows, wireframes, mockups, live style guides, and assets

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of Product Management, Business Analyst, or Solution Architecture
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs
  • Ability to lead development teams and help drive delivery activities forward
  • Experience leading/participating on teams in an agile environment
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with globally diverse teams - Self-motivated to understand and comprehend new and complex material - Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to clearly convey complex blends of business and technical matters to a range of audiences; ability to articulate points clearly as well as concisely
  • Experience interacting with solution architects to define application solution/design
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and product owners.
  • Experience defining product vision, strategy, product roadmaps and creating managing backlogs.
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and navigate complex decision making in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Background in Software development. Experience with Extreme Programming.

Education Required:

  • S. Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in the requested field
