About the Role:
Our client, a premier state conservation agency, is seeking a strategic and certified Senior Project Manager to drive the execution of key strategic initiatives focused on Workforce Development, Future Trends, and Organizational Culture . This individual will be instrumental in building education pipelines, preparing for future trends, and enhancing public awareness and internal culture. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader capable of managing multiple complex initiatives in tandem while collaborating with executive stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader capable of managing multiple complex initiatives in tandem while collaborating with executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full-lifecycle project management to achieve the transformational goals of strategic initiatives related to workforce development, future preparedness, and employer culture .
- Design and deploy project management artifacts, including tools, templates, and standardized procedures.
- Manage significant project budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Engage with agency Executive Leadership and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and secure buy-in.
- Direct project timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and communication plans.
- Monitor and report on project progress, outcomes, and performance metrics to leadership.
- Workforce Development: Establishing robust education and training pipelines to prepare participants for meaningful careers.
- Future Trends & Innovation: Anticipating, identifying, and preparing for emerging trends in conservation, climate action, and workforce development.
- Organizational Culture: Expanding public awareness and fostering a culture where the agency is a competitive and compassionate employer.
- A Bachelor's degree AND a valid, current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The PMP certification may not be substituted.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last ten (10) years in developing project management tools, templates, and policies and procedures.
- A minimum of two (2) years of project management experience within the last ten (10) years working on projects with at least a $500,000 budget for government agencies (with at least a $150 million department annual budget).
- This experience must include work in workforce development and policy, and performance management .
- At least one (1) year of this experience must have been in a lead capacity .
