The Work: This role is intended for senior-level professionals with strong R&D experience in the Life Sciences industry and a proven track record in technology delivery (e.g., Agile, product-centric development). The position involves close collaboration and regular communication with internal teams as well as client executive leadership.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Develop and maintain detailed project plans for IT initiatives, including objectives, technologies, systems, schedules, funding, and staffing requirements.
- Maintain applications in accordance with established SLAs. Oversee the full Service Delivery Lifecycle covering new system rollouts, major/minor enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of existing applications
- Identify and assess complex issues requiring in-depth analysis, and develop effective, scalable solutions for implementation by the team.
- Supervise teams in gathering and interpreting user and system requirements to create clear design specifications.
- Manage project reporting activities, including status, issues, budget, and ETC updates, ensuring alignment with senior management direction.
- Lead the design and architecture of Veeva Vault solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and industry best practices. Develop and document high-level and detailed solution designs, including data models, workflows, integration patterns, and security frameworks.
- Design, configure, and customize Veeva Vault applications across multiple Vaults (Quality, Regulatory, Clinical eTMF & CTMS, and Safety) to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of Veeva Vault applications, ensuring compliance with architectural standards, project timelines, and quality objectives. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design and manage integrations between Veeva Vault and other enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and custom connectors. Ensure seamless data flow, synchronization, and process alignment across systems to support business operations.
- Define and maintain the technical strategy and roadmap for Veeva Vault solutions in alignment with organizational goals. Evaluate new Veeva Vault releases and features, and plan for their adoption and implementation.
- Ensure all Veeva Vault solutions comply with regulatory standards (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11) and internal quality requirements. Conduct technical reviews, validations, and testing to ensure solution robustness, performance, and reliability.
- Partner with business stakeholders, project managers, and other architects to gather requirements and align on project goals. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior technical staff and provide training as needed. Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence within the team.
- Lead comprehensive data migration initiatives for Veeva Vault, including detailed data mapping, planning, and execution.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory standards throughout the migration process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate data integrity and perform thorough testing to ensure successful outcomes.
Location Requirement: This role requires on-site presence at the local ATC office 2-3 times per week. Occasional travel to the client's New York office will also be required.
What you need:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience designing and architecting complex Veeva Vault implementations and project delivery within Life Sciences
- Veeva Vault Platform White Belt Certification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus points if you have:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Veeva Vault configuration, customization, and integration.
- Proficiency in Veeva Vault Java SDK, SQL, XML, and APIs. Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and integration techniques.
- In-depth understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 applicable to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams and cross-functional collaboration. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to address complex business and technical challenges.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to design innovative, scalable solutions.
- Veeva Vault Orange Belt Certification.
- Additional certifications in enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or related domains are a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
