Position Overview : - The State of South Carolina is seeking a SAP Junior Technical Support Engineer to join the Department of Public Health.
This newly established role has been created to enhance existing support capacity for daily HR system operations while building dedicated technical expertise within the SAP HR ecosystem.

The SAP HR Systems Technician will play a critical role in configuring, maintaining, and improving HR systems primarily within the SCEIS SAP ECC platform as well as related HR technologies. The ideal candidate will support system enhancements, workflow optimization, data quality improvements, and reporting initiatives that align with evolving business and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on experience with SAP ECC (SCEIS) HR modules, including system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with state-level HR/payroll processes, data privacy standards (HIPAA, FLSA), and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Strong data management skills, including validation, integrity monitoring, and issue resolution.
Proficiency in developing analytical reports and dashboards (SAP tools, Power BI, Excel).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and collaboration tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
Experience configuring role-based access control (RBAC) and position-based security models.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder interaction.
