The State of South Carolina is looking for a Business Analyst - Project Lead
Why is this position open: This position has become available due to the agency s ongoing commitment to modernizing and optimizing its Administrative and Financial systems. As the department continues to evolve its digital infrastructure, additional staff are needed to augment current resources. There is an increasing need for a dedicated analyst to ensure seamless integration between business processes and technical solutions, particularly within the SAP environment.
Will close to submissions on 11/5 at 5:00PM EST.
Interview Process: 1 round, virtual (video required)
Duration of the Contract: 12 months
Possibility for Extension: Yes
Work Location: Role is hybrid (4 days onsite per week)
Candidate location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
This is a new position to focus on Public Health Financial and Administrative systems.
Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):
- Ability to analyze, document, and improve business and system processes using various tools and methodologies.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Working knowledge of state HR/payroll processes, data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, FLSA), and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proficient in creating user guides, SOPs, and technical documentation.
- Advanced skills in reporting, dashboard creation, and data visualization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and collaborative tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
Required Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors
- Experience with industry standard information security practices
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of IT development and implementation projects
