As a Cloud Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support critical business objectives. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to guide cloud adoption, optimize cloud resources, and establish best practices that enhance performance and reliability. The salary range for this position is $128,000- $192,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud services.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud service providers and tools.
- Monitor cloud performance and optimize resources for cost efficiency (FinOps).
- Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Align cloud strategies with business goals, ensuring that cloud infrastructure supports the company's objectives.
- Analyze current infrastructure, applications, and business requirements to design optimal cloud solutions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services and solutions that comply with the company's cloud governance.
- Develop detailed migration strategies for moving applications and data to the cloud while minimizing disruption to the business.
Minimum Education and Experience- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with cloud architecture frameworks and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Education and Experience- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge of networking and security principles.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors- Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional movement to other offices or buildings.
- May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
- May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
