CDW is seeking an experienced
SSPM Engineer/Consultant to lead the implementation, integration, and operationalization of the
Obsidian SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform. This is a hands-on role focused on securing enterprise SaaS environments, improving security visibility, reducing identity risks, and integrating security telemetry into existing detection and response processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience implementing SSPM solutions, securing SaaS applications, integrating with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, and partnering with IAM, Security, Cloud, and Application teams within a large enterprise environment.
What You'll Do - Lead the onboarding and implementation of the Obsidian SSPM platform
- Integrate Obsidian with enterprise SaaS applications and identity platforms
- Configure security posture assessments and SaaS security controls
- Tune security alerts to reduce false positives and improve actionable detections
- Enable log ingestion, correlation, and reporting within Splunk
- Identify SaaS security risks, including excessive permissions, dormant privileged accounts, and risky SaaS-to-SaaS integrations
- Design and implement RBAC models, access controls, and platform customizations
- Develop repeatable onboarding patterns and best practices for integrating new SaaS applications
- Build operational workflows, monitoring, alerting, and response processes
- Collaborate with Security Operations, IAM, Cloud, GRC, and Application teams
- Produce documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials for internal stakeholders
Required Experience - Hands-on experience implementing and administering an SSPM platform
- Strong preference for experience with Obsidian SSPM
- Deep understanding of SaaS Security Posture Management concepts and SaaS security best practices
- Experience securing SaaS platforms such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Google Workspace, Box, Slack, or similar enterprise applications
- Experience with security hardening, risk remediation, and configuration management for SaaS applications
- Strong SIEM experience, including log ingestion, correlation, alerting, and threat detection
- Experience integrating security tools with Splunk
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), RBAC, privileged access, and SaaS identity risks
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments and collaborating across multiple technical teams
Preferred Experience - Prior Obsidian implementation experience
- Familiarity with Obsidian query language and platform customization
- Experience supporting large-scale SaaS ecosystems
- Knowledge of cloud security, modern IAM practices, and SaaS governance frameworks
