The Quality Engineering (QE) Team is responsible for assessing quality throughout all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, ensuring continued leadership in the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) industry.
The Software Quality Engineer is an integral member of the QE team, responsible for developing and executing automated tests for flagship software products while working with advanced digital and analog hardware platforms.
Review system, hardware, software, and user interface requirements documentation.
Plan, design, develop, execute, and automate tests to verify products meet stringent quality and performance requirements.
Perform system-level and user-focused testing that extends beyond documented requirements.
Enhance in-house tools to improve test creation efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage defects within the defect tracking system to report, track, prioritize, and resolve issues identified during product verification.
Collaborate closely with software and hardware engineering teams to develop and maintain test strategies, including defect assessment, peer reviews, test coverage analysis, and system integration testing.
Partner with engineering, applications, marketing, and customer account teams to understand key business and technical requirements.
Analyze problems and recommend solutions on ATE platforms to optimize customer throughput and system performance.
Work directly with customers to understand and improve test processes while recommending enhancements to test coverage and product quality.
Develop and share application solutions and best practices for testing techniques.
Travel up to 10 25% to customer sites to support beta testing and product transitions.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with ATE-based test environments.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC).
Programming experience with C/C++, C#, and VBA/VB.NET/Excel.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
Experience using Visual Studio, GitHub, JIRA, and other software development tools.
Solid understanding of embedded systems and digital, mixed-signal, SoC, power, and/or analog hardware test methodologies.
Experience with hardware/software interaction in tester environments.
Exposure to pre-silicon and post-silicon validation flows.
Experience developing or testing semiconductor applications.
Comfortable working directly with customers and representing a strong commitment to quality.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively in an international, multi-site, collaborative environment.
5+ years of experience in test or product engineering for analog, digital, or mixed-signal semiconductor products, with a strong background in test design and development.
