Join Leidos as a Senior Network Engineer and IPv6 Subject Matter Expert supporting the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance (IOO O&M) program. In this key role, you will serve as the technical authority driving the design, architecture, and deployment of IPv6 across enterprise network environments. You will directly influence network modernization and Zero Trust initiatives in an impactful federal program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture, migration, and dual-stack implementation of IPv6 across the enterprise network.
- Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot complex routing/switching protocols including BGP, OSPF/OSPFv3, EIGRP, and IS-IS.
- Design and implement network security architecture using Cisco, F5, and CrowdStrike technologies.
- Develop High-Level (HLD) and Low-Level (LLD) designs, network diagrams, technical standards, and risk assessments.
- Perform root-cause analysis on complex infrastructure issues and brief agency leadership on architectural strategy.
qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of broad professional experience in network engineering and enterprise architecture.
5+ years of specialized experience with IPv6 architecture, routing, addressing, and dual-stack migrations.
Hands-on proficiency with enterprise routing protocols (BGP, OSPF/OSPFv3) and IP protocols (DHCPv6, ICMPv6, DNS).
Experience configuring and supporting Cisco, F5, and CrowdStrike technologies in secure environments.
Active Public Trust clearance (or immediate eligibility to pass HUD prescreening and background checks).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
Direct experience supporting Federal Government network modernization programs and federal IPv6 mandates.
Recognized industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, JNCIP/JNCIE, CISSP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer.
