Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They provide premier engineering and manufacturing support expertise to enable on-time, lowest cost hardware delivery with performance and reliability that exceed customer expectations. They execute across all phases of a program including proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support.

Manufacturing Engineers design, control, and improve the manufacturing process and system design through a collaborative effort with the value stream team. You would apply your skills to implement improvements that reduce cycle time and cost and improve productivity, while maintaining a high level of safety in the manufacturing environment and quality within the product. The Patriot Missile Manufacturing Engineering team in Andover, MA is seeking a second shift manufacturing engineer.

What You Will Do
\n
\n - \n
Developing, maintaining, and reviewing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs
\n - \n
Supporting a manufacturing area as part of cross-functional team by guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP
\n - \n
Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required
\n - \n
Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making
\n - \n
Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
\n - \n
Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
\n - \n
Ability to travel as required

Qualifications You Must Have
\n
\n - \n
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
\n - \n
1+ year of manufacturing experience.
\n - \n
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
\n
\n - \n
Knowledge and ability to apply Six Sigma and/or DFMA principles and techniques
\n - \n
Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
\n - \n
Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools
\n - \n
Experience with designing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated tooling and machinery
\n - \n
Experience with Refurbishment/Repair or Warranty requirements and processing of Government Furnished Material (GFM) or Equipment (GFE)
\n

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate s work experience, location,
