This position is part of Novanta's Robotics & Automation business unit. Robotics & Automation's ATI brand name is the world's leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Primary Responsibilities- Designing, writing, and testing software that is used to calibrate and test industrial robot tooling.
- Develop test plans and procedures
- Write test instructions.
- Windows software is written in .NET languages (C#, Visual Basic, etc.). May involve some assembly and C programming for microcontroller firmware.
Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies- Understanding of object oriented programming (experience with .NET languages is a plus).
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic concepts of digital electronic hardware.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Min. GPA: 3.5
Management prefers:- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, such as subnet masking and MAC addresses vs. IP addresses.
- Basic experience with Assembly language.
- Basic experience with C/C++.
