\n Pay range: $43.00 - $58.00 per hour. Negotiable based on experience.

\n Shift: Day shift, primarily 6:30am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday

\n
As a Controls Technician, you will:
\n
\n - Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, point-to-point checkouts, troubleshooting and/or replacement of HVAC controls systems (BAS systems) and related mechanical equipment; most work will involve Johnson Controls Metasys and Distech controls
\n - Diagnose and repair a variety of electronic and digital control system malfunctions
\n - Test and perform modifications to systems software when needed
\n - Assist with sketching and documenting field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings
\n - Provide training and associated manuals and documentation to customers on electronic control systems operations
\n - Help mechanical staff troubleshoot issues and may help with minor mechanical maintenance
\n - Ensure work performed complies with company, federal regulations, industry standards and guidelines, and customer requirements
\n - Compile project documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists
\n - Conduct self-study (reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines; completes certifications as required
\n - Read and properly interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals
\n - Adhere to Johnson Controls and customer safety standards, provide safety awareness leadership and instruction to technicians and subcontractors on Johnson Controls work sites

Required Qualifications:
\n
\n - 5+ years of experience working with HVAC Controls (Direct Digital Controls), VAV's, VRF's, or other related systems and equipment
\n - Knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems, HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
\n - The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances and/or badges as required to perform site duties. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)

Preferred Experience:
\n
\n - Technical knowledge and experience working with Johnson Controls Metasys, Tridium Niagara, or Distech Direct Digital Control (DDC) system
\n - Programming and/or troubleshooting various brands of HVAC controls products is highly desired (Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, Delta, Distech, Carrier, ALC, Andover)
\n - Experience with BAS communication protocols including at least one of the following: BACnet MSTP, BACnet IP, N2, P1, Modbus, and/or LON
\n - Experience using SMP, SCT, and/or CCT
\n

\n
Preferred Education:
\n
\n - Technical Schooling, Bachelor s Degree, or Associate s Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical systems, Computer technology, HVAC, or a related field, or relevant experience.
