IT Field Support Technician Location: Vidor, TX - 100 Old Hwy 90
Work Arrangement: Onsite, Monday-Friday
Contract: 3+ months
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Target Start Date: October 5, or sooner
Interview Process: One-hour technical interview with the IT team, including a technical assessment, followed by a brief HR interview.
Position Summary IT Field Support Technician to serve as the primary local IT resource for end-user support, device deployments, connectivity troubleshooting, documentation, and coordination with remote infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Windows environments, mobile devices, cellular connectivity, basic networking, and users in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities - Install and deploy SIM cards across 50+ mobile devices, PCs, and industrial workstations.
- Configure APN settings and troubleshoot cellular coverage, connectivity, and device communication issues.
- Upgrade Windows 10 workstations to Windows 11.
- Respond to incidents and service requests through an IT service management platform.
- Provide onsite support for hardware, software, operating systems, Microsoft 365, and user access issues.
- Configure workstations, including:
- IP address changes
- Domain joins
- Software installations
- Device setup and commissioning
- Troubleshoot application, hardware, operating system, and network connectivity issues.
- Provide local "hands and eyes" support for remote infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams.
- Coordinate IT activities with operations personnel, vendors, and corporate IT.
- Train users on devices, systems, backup procedures, and operational processes.
- Create and maintain user guides, technical documentation, operational procedures, and backup instructions.
- Support device backup, backup management, and recovery activities.
- Perform other general IT field support duties as needed.
Required Qualifications - Hands-on experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
- Experience deploying, configuring, or troubleshooting mobile devices and cellular connectivity.
- Knowledge of APN configuration and cellular network troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, Wi-Fi, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting domain-joined Windows devices and Active Directory environments.
- Strong documentation and user-training skills.
- Ability to work onsite and independently in a field support environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, plant, or production environment.
- Experience with mobile device management platforms.
- Familiarity with ITSM or ticketing systems.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience with device backup and recovery processes.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Top Three Priorities - Deploy and configure 50+ SIM cards, including APN settings and cellular connectivity troubleshooting.

Document device backup procedures, backup management processes, and user-training materials.
