Key Responsibilities
Port and migrate embedded Linux software to a new Intel-based hardware platform
Complete ongoing Ubuntu upgrade from 18.04 to 22.04, including:
Kernel, file system, and driver updates
Bootloader configuration and upgrades
Build and support production infrastructure, including:
Software packaging and release generation
Over-the-Air (OTA) update capabilities using AWS/Amazon tools (starting August)
Provide ongoing maintenance and support for platform deliverables
Top Skills
Strong experience with Embedded Linux development
Hands-on experience with:
Linux kernel, device drivers, and bootloaders
System bring-up, porting, or platform migration
Experience with Ubuntu, Yocto, or similar Linux distributions
Familiarity with Intel/x86 embedded systems
Experience writing test plans and validating embedded systems
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS, IoT, or edge device platforms
Experience implementing or supporting OTA update systems
Familiarity with FleetEdge or similar edge computing frameworks
