Summary

Job title: Data Service Technician / Field Technician
Location: Baltimore, MD (2-4 hour radius)
Duration: Contract to Hire (After 720 working hours, will be eligible to go fulltime with my client)
Hourly pay rate: $35

Manager Notes:

For the service techs, needs to know Corning Unicam fiber terminations, POTS lines/dial tone tracking, good with cameras and CCTV installs, access control preferred but not required. Able to travel 2-4 hours around for work, weekends, nights and OT comfort levels also.

Requirements:

Cabling & Infrastructure: Running low-voltage cable, terminating, testing, and dressing Cat5e/Cat6A and fiber optic cables.
Network Deployment: Installing MDF/IDF closets, rack-mounting network switches, and managing CCTV, POS equipment, and wireless access points
Data Cable Technician with CAT5e, fiber optic, and network experience.
Industry-specific certifications (BICSI, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning) are a huge plus.
Flexible and willing to work on-call, early morning, day, night, and weekend shifts depending on the requirements of the job.
Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.
Knowledgeable in identifying independent colors and learning color codes.
Must have knowledge of cabling infrastructure.
Experience in conduit installation is a plus.
