JOB OVERVIEW
We\'re seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will oversee personnel, equipment, and maintenance initiatives that drive safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost objectives. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex equipment issues, developing teams, and collaborating across departments to support manufacturing excellence.
WHAT\'S THE JOB?
Responsibilities
\t- Implement and actively support corporate safety policies, initiatives, and plant housekeeping standards. \t
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and initiate immediate and long-term corrective actions. \t
- Support operational goals related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost (SPQRC). \t
- Supervise construction and maintenance projects. \t
- Assist with implementing divisional and corporate policies. \t
- Maintain project schedules and quality requirements. \t
- Enforce safety practices and housekeeping standards throughout the facility. \t
- Train, develop, coach, and evaluate maintenance personnel. \t
- Ensure compliance with local and national labor agreements. \t
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve operational and maintenance challenges. \t
- Implement planned and preventive maintenance activities. \t
- Complete work assignments within budget, staffing, and timing requirements. \t
- Coordinate maintenance resources, materials, and equipment to support manufacturing operations. \t
- Monitor maintenance performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
WHAT\'S NEEDED?
Candidate Profile
\t- 5-7 years of maintenance, manufacturing, or related supervisory experience. \t
- Experience supervising a multi-trade workforce. \t
- Knowledge of machine, assembly, and/or facility maintenance operations. \t
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. \t
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and concepts. \t
- Knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, and assembly processes. \t
- Experience promoting and maintaining a safe industrial work environment. \t
- Knowledge of basic mathematics, including trigonometry. \t
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. \t
- Experience using Lotus Notes or similar email communication systems. \t
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. \t
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \t
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. \t
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. \t
- Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. \t
- Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. \t
- Associate degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred. \t
- Skilled trades training or equivalent technical training preferred.
