About the team: The Pharmacy Reference Data team ensures the accuracy and governance of critical data supporting Walmart's retail pharmacy operations. This team collaborates with internal technology and business units, as well as external vendors, to maintain consistent and high-quality drug, insurance, and prescriber information. They develop and maintain Carbon, a web-based platform, alongside Java services and Kafka feeds that distribute data to internal applications. Their work supports reliable pharmacy system performance and scalable business processes across the enterprise, playing a vital role in enabling efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
What you'll do: - Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support for services, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code using multiple programming languages and drive software development lifecycle including CI/CD deployments and automated testing.
- Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools.
- Assist in solution design, design reviews, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and define success metrics.
- Monitor application performance, conduct maintenance, and ensure adherence to milestones.
- Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring: - Proven expertise in software development with strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, and Python.
- Experience in full software development lifecycle including CI/CD, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Skilled in code review, debugging, and delivering scoped features or models with a product-driven mindset.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, documentation-based coding, and modular software design.
- Ability to integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance development.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09158: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Sunnyvale, California US-04397: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
