Help perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation-related downtime, quality issues, and system failures under supervision.
Participate in the development and testing of automated inspection systems using vision, sensors, and gauging.
Support system commissioning, validation, and acceptance testing activities
Assist with risk assessments, safety validations, and compliance checks.
Troubleshoot control systems, document findings, and implement recommended diagnostics or improvements under direction.
Maintain accurate project documentation, electrical schematics, and software version control.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, maintenance, quality) and learn best practices for standardizing automation platforms.
Stay engaged with emerging automation technologies and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

What We Seek:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls/Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in industrial automation, controls, and manufacturing systems.
Basic familiarity with PLC programming concepts (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred) and HMI/SCADA systems through coursework, labs, or prior projects/internships.
Fundamental understanding of industrial networks, electrical systems, and safety practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Ability to work full-time onsite for the duration of the co-op term.

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
