Summary

Position Overview

Basic ITS is seeking a Technical Installation Specialist to install, configure, and support technology solutions at customer locations across the United States. This position involves assessing existing infrastructure, preparing sites for new installations, and ensuring technology systems are properly implemented and functioning as intended.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, enjoys hands-on work, and can effectively troubleshoot issues while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites, including hospitals and other healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

Assess existing IT infrastructure and perform necessary remediation to prepare for new technology installations.
Install, configure, test, and customize hardware and software solutions at customer locations.
Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure installed systems operate properly and meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams, customer IT departments, and other technical personnel to ensure successful installations.
Evaluate customer needs and installation requirements while identifying and addressing potential cybersecurity concerns.
Provide technical guidance and support throughout the installation and implementation process.
Maintain positive customer relationships by communicating effectively, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Assist with training and mentoring local field technicians on installed systems and technology solutions.
Travel to customer sites across the United States to complete installations and provide technical support.

Qualifications

Experience in IT support, technical installations, infrastructure, networking, or a related technical field.
Familiarity with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and customers.
Willingness to travel extensively, typically Monday through Friday, with weekends at home.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer locations as required.

Travel Requirements

This position requires approximately 90% travel, typically Monday through Friday, to customer locations throughout the United States, with assignments beginning in the Midwest. Overnight stays are required, and employees generally return home on weekends.
