Position: Hadoop Admin

Location: Boise, ID

Responsibilities

As a Technology specialist in Hadoop/Data warehouse, you will be responsible in building and administering the Hadoop ecosystem and overlooking the various data warehouse applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide technology consultations on recommendation of the products/tools
• Lead Proof of concept developments
• Identify Big data opportunities to drive revenue growth
• Assist in defining scope and estimate the effort
• Implement high quality solutions for identified opportunities.
• Passion for technology and the desire to learn, embracing and adopting the learned new technology.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of Unix/Linux, Python, Perl or other scripting languages

• Hands on experience in Oracle OBIEE

• project engagements with Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), Analytics, Enterprise Dashboard, Key performance Indicators (KPIs), Master Data Management and Data governance
• Must have demonstrable experience of NoSQL: Hadoop/HBase/HDFS, Mongo DB,
• Deep Knowledge of SQL, RDBMS Platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Should be a self-starter who demonstrates complete ownership over assigned objectives and is able to work independently
• Highly organized and thorough, with an ability to facilitate communication and scheduling among different levels of staff
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with others in a consistently positive manner, exercising discretion and tact
