Location: Boulder, Colorado (Onsite)
Pay: $26 to $32 an hour
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation, 7am to 7pm
Role Overview
This role involves studying the growth, structure, development, and general characteristics of bacteria and other microorganisms. The position requires performing various duties within a quality-controlled laboratory environment to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform microbiologic assays, including bioburden, media qualification, culture qualification, and Microbial ID.
- Perform Endotoxin and TOC analysis on water samples.
- Maintain the Micro Lab, which includes supply ordering, sterilization, instrument maintenance and calibration, and general lab housekeeping.
- Collect water samples according to SOP and following ALCOA+ principles.
- Support senior-level QC Micro Staff with general lab duties.
- Perform basic methods on test samples.
Required Qualifications
Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 0-2 years of related experience in a GMP laboratory and/or training.
Technical Skills:- Strong math, reading, and comprehension skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with lab equipment.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work closely with team members to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to work on 12-hour rotating shifts, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The physical demands require the ability to work with hands, talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
