We are a private equity backed residential home services platform in metro Atlanta, closing our first acquisition now: an established, profitable, well-reviewed services company with a loyal customer base built over nearly three decades. An aggressive acquisition program and new service lines will take the platform to several times its current size over the next few years, and we are hiring our first finance leader to build the function from the ground up.

Job Details
As our Senior Controller, you will own the finance function end to end. In the first year you will:
Bring the books in-house and own the monthly close, taking AR, AP, and inventory over from the ownership team
Build the internal reporting cadence, KPI reporting, and the board package for our private equity sponsor
Stand up a 13-week cash forecast and own lender and covenant reporting
Design a multi-entity chart of accounts with job-level costing that can absorb acquisitions
Own acquisition accounting as deals close: opening balance sheets, purchase accounting, payroll and systems migration
Lead the eventual migration from QuickBooks to a platform-grade field service and accounting stack
Hire and build the accounting team underneath you as the platform grows
Qualifications:
Hands-on M&A accounting experience is required: you have personally built opening balance sheets, run purchase accounting, or integrated an acquired company's books
Full-cycle accounting ownership: you have personally run or built a monthly close, not just participated in one
Experience in a services, trade contractor, construction, distribution, or field services business; job costing fluency strongly preferred
Comfortable being the entire finance function on day one in a small, fast-growing company with lean systems
Systems implementation experience: you have led or co-led an accounting or ERP/FSM conversion
Experience reporting to a private equity sponsor or lender is a strong plus
CPA or equivalent preferred; degree in accounting or finance
