EMC Compliance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Drive a standardized and harmonized approach to Regulatory Compliance across products.

Establishing and maintaining best design practices guidelines to mitigate EMC, Environmental, WiFi, and NFC compliance issues early in the design phase

Provide design requirements and approve mechanical and electrical design reviews to ensure EMC mitigations are properly implemented in the design

Run EMC and Environmental pre-compliance testing during product development.

Root cause determination and corrective design action for any failures.

File official paperwork and final approval from the proper government, regulatory or notified bodies.

Stay current on any changes to global agency approvals and testing procedures

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar technical discipline.

5+ years hands on EMC, Environmental, WiFi, NFC design for compliance.

Experience in submissions for official certification through relevant compliance bodies such as FCC and TCBs across multiple products.

Understanding of the CE/UKCA legal framework and experience with LVD, RED, and EMCD.

Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners.

Experience in running EMI and immunity tests and troubleshooting.

Experience in RTCA DO-160G EMI, Environmental testing, product qualification and approval process of avionics radio products will be a plus

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with safety compliance

Experience in using analytical and simulation tools.

Experience in using design CAD tools and simulation software.
