The Opportunity: Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to develop , manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management sof tware to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.
As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you'll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment with current container sof tware to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience , you'll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.
You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the develop ment of critical cloud platforms. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: - 5+ years of experience in the develop ment of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
- 5+ years of experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS environments including EC2, EKS, ECS, Lambda
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and automation tools, including Terraform and Gitlab CI / CD
- Experience with DevOps, Git repositories and CI / CD leveraging Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) to configure AWS Cloud environments
- Experience develop ing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, or Jenkins
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Bash, Python or JavaScript for automation purposes
- Experience develop ing, managing, and securing containers
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have: - Experience with creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
- Experience with creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
- Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commer cia l tools in public cloud environments
- Experience working with application develop ment teams across the sof tware develop ment lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Agile develop ment techniques and ceremonies
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Linux Shell Script

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
