Access Control TechnicianJoin a growing team supporting commercial security and access control projects throughout the Charleston area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with low-voltage, electrical, security, or structured cabling experience who wants to build a long-term career in the electronic security industry.
What You'll Do- Install access control devices including card readers, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, electric strikes, and magnetic locks
- Assist with the installation of commercial security and access control systems
- Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation
- Troubleshoot wiring issues, device failures, and system performance problems
- Support system testing, startup, and commissioning activities
- Work closely with project teams to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain a professional presence at customer sites
Required Qualifications- 1+ year of experience in low-voltage, security, access control, electrical, or structured cabling environments
- Basic understanding of wiring, circuits, and electrical concepts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and installation documentation
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and dependable attendance
Preferred Qualifications- Experience installing access control systems or electronic door hardware
- Experience with CCTV and integrated security systems
- Exposure to platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Openpath, Avigilon, or Brivo
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Scissor Lift Certification
- Commercial construction experience
- Customer-facing service experience

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $31.00/hr.
