Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI / Data Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing scalable data integration platforms and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, real-time and batch processing, and AI/GenAI application development using modern cloud, data, and machine learning technologies within a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement scalable data integration platforms and AI-enabled solutions
- Leverage modern cloud, data, and machine learning technologies
- Collaborate with global teams to build resilient data pipelines, AI-driven solutions, and production-grade platforms
- Ensure security, compliance, scalability, and operational excellence in highly regulated environments
Requirements: - 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, AI/ML Engineering, or related technology roles
- Strong programming skills in Scala or Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with data integration solutions using Informatica, Hadoop, and Oracle
- Experience building AI/GenAI applications utilizing LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases
- Experience with real-time, near real-time, and batch processing solutions
- Understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and testing
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Desired skills: - Experience with API integration and event-driven architectures (Kafka preferred)
- OpenShift/Kubernetes container technologies
- CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with distributed data processing technologies such as Spark and Hive
- Understanding of MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
