Job Description
We are seeking a Python Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, distributed systems, RESTful microservices, and databases and a proven ability to deliver scalable, resilient applications through the full SDLC in Agile environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot Python-based services and APIs.
- Build distributed, scalable microservices and REST interfaces.
- Partner with business users to refine complex requirements and deliver prototypes.
- Refactor and optimize code for readability, performance, and maintainability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Python for backend development and web services.
- Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Proven ability to build distributed, scalable services and robust microservices.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs and web services in Python.
- Familiarity with analytic reporting tools such as Tableau.
- Strong analytical and communication skills for technical and functional analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate requirements into deliverables, including rapid prototypes.
- Commitment to best practices with ongoing refactoring and code quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with regulatory projects and liquidity reporting (e.g., Fed5g, LCR, NSFR, CRD IV).
- Experience with containers.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.
- Background working on high-volume, resilient applications.
- Experience in Agile teams and SDLC best practices.
Role Logistics:
- Start: ASAP. Target start 2-4 weeks after offer, aligned to business needs.
- Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite per week.
